In keeping with the rule of threes, we have a pattern:
Where's the fun? Let's keep some weblogs entertaining, inspiring, and personal. I'm not here to pontificate about how much (and therefore, how little) I know about the world / politics / society - okay, sometimes I am - I'm here to share a little bit of my madness with people I don't know. And if I had a cat, I'd probably photograph it.
Too Personal and Irrelevant for GoogleAds: That's what Amy Langfield is, apparently. Probably most of my favorite weblogs would be, too. Ad traffic will flow heaviest to the most focused, most passion-inducing sites, and perhaps even encourage them to go even more in that direction, but the ones I actually like best tend to meander around and surprise you..
One of the problems I encountered was that I sometimes found/find myself in the throes of punditry, and occasionally I'd become gripped with realization that I'm in no way a qualified pundit on most topics. But then I figured out that that's what blogs are for: holding forth on shit that that you only have the most tenuous grasp of. I still feel guilty occasionally, but I'm trying to stop (Analytic's actual home on the intarweb).
This is for you Andrea.
