shots on goal

October

What a bizarre month. Two days ago it was almost unbearably hot and dry, the air thick with ash and the disturbing, almost sweet smell of a billion burned trees. Today, it's cold enough to turn on the heater. Could it be any more apt for Halloween? Cold, windy, damp weather with the ghoulish black scars of the infernos lacerating southern California from top to bottom...and they still burn. And now, to add insult to injury, apparently, some of the homes that remain standing in otherwise incinerated neighborhoods are being looted. Disgusting, sick fucks. Send them to Pelican Bay forever after the guys who started the fires.

Hopefully November will be better.

I heard the clown/bank headline on the radio as I woke up in that 1/2 dream state between 9:00 am sleep and starting the day.

The first thing I thought about is all the hoo-ha lately concerning "clownstep." I imagined the robber, in full "Point Break" stylee, busting out of the bank, being chased by cops, etc., all to a pulsing soundtrack of Pendulum's "Another Planet." She pulls of the clown mask and its fucking Britney Spears (or insert hot supermodel/pop star here)!! She pops a bunch of caps out the side window and then rolls out the car door in motion only to be picked up by a rope ladder from an accomplice's awaiting helicopter.

Hollywood? Are you listening??

Lol! Jaysus...funny shit man. Yeah, I have to admit the 'clownstep' thing crossed my mind too. I can just see a clown in giant shoes (like that goofy emoticon) waddling out the bank.

Okay, here's something to pollute your consciousness: remember that pop-dnb song/video by that MC with the giant stuffed teddy bears? The one where he rescues the beautiful, captive girls?

Think that, but with clowns.

Sorry...I know...I just ruined your day!

[I'll have a word with my agent regarding your pitch.]
