. . .

Heras!

...and because you've all missed my cycling entries, know that in the Tour of Spain, Armstrong's teammate, Spaniard Roberto Heras won today's 11.2 km uphill time trial in dramatic fashion, taking the leader's jersey off the back of the young, brave Isidro Nozal.

Remember the showdown in the last time trial between Ullrich and Armstrong in the Tour de France? This was essentially the same idea, except that in this case the guy in second place DID overhaul the guy in first, and did it with worse odds.

Spectacular stuff. The Tour of Spain ends tomorrow and Heras is virtually assured of victory, which makes it two after his 2000 win. What a fine reward for Heras for his tireless support of Armstrong in the TdF.

What a year for US Postal: Tour de France and Vuelta a Espana victories, plus numerous stages and other shorter tours and one day wins.

Congratulations all around!
