Finally, I was wrong about two nights ago being the first rock show in ages. The last wasn't so long ago; it was another band of pals, Ex-Models at the very strange club The Smell in downtown. They rock hard. The things they do quickly and loud with two guitars, a bass and Jake the amazing drummer are something to behold. Their new record is out on French Kiss, and they just finished their Yurpeen tour. They are blowing up, and deserve it. Far more interesting if you ask me than a lot of the more fashionable new rocknrollbands.
