At work tomorrow there is a free town hall meeting with Tom Daschle. It's in my building's screening auditorium. I blew it and didn't RSVP early enough, but I'm going to try to get in on a waiting list. If so, maybe I'll report.
If I've got real chutzpa, I'll ask about things like intellectual property law, copyright extensions, file sharing, piracy...all those subjects near and dear to the heart of me and, err, my employer.
Naw, on second thought, I think I'll just listen.
They already had some police, armed security, and very sort of heavy duty official-looking types in today, sort of scouting around I guess; "securing the perimeter."
I just wanted to say "securing the perimeter."
Agree with the man or not, it's not everyday you get a US senator hanging out two floors down from you at work, and I'm all about the spectacle, because once upon a time in College I read Debord and that means I know things.
