Family values

Our secret is revealed! Cronaca has exposed the dark heart of animation to the world!

Jesting aside, a couple of years ago, while working on Cinderella II, it dawned on I and a number of my crew that there is indeed a pattern of dead mothers and orphans in Disney fare. We even came up with a list, but I no longer know where it is. We also noticed some other patterns, mostly to do with fat ladies. Our observation is not fit for a family publication, so I'll save you all the agony (plus Legal might be watching; hi fourth floor guys!). I think we came up with some alternate mottoes...pretty off-color, and although I love a good laugh, I love my job more, so that's all you'll hear about it from me (it's all about prudence around here...wait...WAIT! Prudence! Oh how her name rang in the walls of my office for 18 months!).

Too, speaking of Nemo, the studio threw a lot party today on the occasion of its release. Quite a do; one for the kids. It included giant fish that rolled around outside the commissary, chasing the children around. The lot and our building were filled with littleuns careening around the halls and bouncing off kneecaps. Pretty nice. How many offices let the kids run wild?
